A few days ago one of my daughters mentioned to me that she saw an award show where Aishwarya Rai did not look as good as she used to. It had no affect on my life what so ever and my life WENT ON. A couple of days later as I was having lunch with my girlfriends, one of them said the same thing. This time it got my attention and I felt bad for this starlet whom I never liked, but after all was somebody's daughter, not much older than my own.
I don't know much about the Bachans (and quite proud of it), but since I have watched "enough" of their movies, I have some curiosity about their lives and interaction with each other. "Ash" looks like as she does not belong with them, at least not with her husband. Whenever I see them together, she is literally hanging on to him like a clinging vine, trying to show the world that he belongs to her (although I think he belongs to the world). Her voice shrivels when she has to say a few words in public. I don't know where this girl's self confidence goes when she has a freaking billion desi men drooling over her. I see so much insecurity in her eyes. On the the other hand, what I see in her husband's eyes is absolute detachment and "beygangi" for her. His body language says, "I'd rather be any where else but here" and acts like she was forced on him. MAYBE she was.
I don't know about you but when I see Aishwarya and Amitabh together, I start feeling sick to my stomach. I find something very, very wrong with that picture. You don't need to wear 3D glasses (like you wore for Avatar) to see all the dimensions to that relationship. In my humble opinion, Mr.Bachan went a little too far in securing his son's future, although I think Abhishek is holding his own regarding his career. I still remember the scene from 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' when he found out his wife's infidelity. Those few minutes took over Shah Rukh Khan's entire movie.
Aishwarya, who has made a fool of her self in American media quite a few times, is not a very sharp girl, as she is taking long enough to figure out Mr. Bachan's motives. Or maybe she came into this marriage with a few agendas of her own. Perhaps she is not aware of the fact that although a wife can survive in a bad marriage, the woman inside her can't last that long. What Aishwarya sees (or doesn't see) in her husband's eyes is going to take its toll on her eventually. After all what you get out of a marriage is determined by the "niyyat" you went in with.
I wonder how Jaya Bachan is taking all this. Her husband has done a number on her and her son simultaneously. How could she let him exploit another girl as she was exploited by him 30+ years ago? She has to play the most difficult role of her life and her acting skills are going to come in quite handy. It is a shame that there won't be an award ceremony at the end of this tunnel, only Rekha standing with a big SMIRK on her face.
SOMETIMES REALITY IS STRANGER THAN FICTION.........

I tend to agree with that.
I believe that Amitabh is a true actor, and so is Shahrukh.
Abhishek is an actor's son (not an actor himself), and will remain so for the rest of his life.
Who knows may be Ashawaria herself likes to be with an actor and not the son of an actor!
Well this story has so many angles no one knows what's going on. Common knowledge is though that Ash married him to save her career. She had managed to turn the KHANS of bollywood against her which everyone knows is career suicide. The embarassment she put herself going through all those mindless rituals was just sad. Abhishek probably latched on the first gal after the whole Karishma Kapoor fiasco. Amitabh shoved this down everyone's throat to feed his ego and Jaya has never mattered. But the real question is, Why do i know all this ?!?!
